Jewelry

As an art teacher, I have a love for art history and turned that passion into wearable museum pieces. These necklaces and bracelets allow you to take the art gallery with you wherever you go.
This piece is inspired by Henri Rousseau’s Apes in the Orange Grove. The bulk of the necklace is made from these vintage light and dark green glass leaf beads, scavenged out of an old school house. A pair of monkeys are tucked into the leaves with ceramic orange fruit beads, and a larger monkey is set across from the pair, snacking on a peach. The metal components and chain are all antique copper finish. To purchase this necklace please visit my Etsy jewelry shop: www.etsy.com/shop/Gatorhead
In addition to the art history inspired jewelry pieces, I also like to put together jewelry based on elements of the Earth. Sea glass, gemstones, and semi-precious stones are some of my favorite materials to combine with antiqued metals. I sell these peices in another Etsy shop (StringerBs), co-run by my jeweler-friend.
